Bio: Kristi Martel Avant-soul piano diva
"Kristi Martel loves life, and the joy she gets out of it exudes from her every pore. She can be singing about the darkest things in the world - betrayal, self-hate, death - and yet somehow, coming from her, it feels hopeful and uplifting."

Q: how has yoga affected your life?
A: Yoga has changed my life in SO many ways! I came to yoga badly injured from falling repeatedly and intentionally as a jujitsuka and dancer. Within 5 months, I could touch my toes again. I immediately knew how valuable yoga was not only for balancing my body, but also my mind and emotions. I also knew right away I wanted to teach yoga, although it took me over ten years to actually do a teacher training. Maybe 5 years into my yoga practice, I started practicing heated vinyasa, and transformed my life and body again. Soon after I got a scholarship to attend a teacher training, deepening my practice even more. Yoga has transformed my peace of mind, cleaned out my body, and helped me move past many traumas toward helping others heal in more and more ways. Healing myself and others has always been an underlying intention in my music, so bringing it to this new level is a wonderful integration of all that is dear to me. Yoga rocks! :)
