“Songwriters who turn their music into stories is becoming a rare pleasure, but Di Gregorio’s whole album is a palette of song and story, as with wistful tracks like Painted by Boldini, a powerful number that showcases her immense vocal prowess and her ability to create emotion with words, melancholy lyrics about a woman’s regrets. The incredible tapestry of instrumental arrangements, the poetry of the music… Gregorio has the gift of timelessness. Jazzy little numbers like Pretty Things make me feel like I’m in a secret speakeasy in the 30’s; a Django-esque breakdown makes this song that much more pleasing. The way she uses image-heavy descriptions and breathy vocals to paint pictures of lost loves and vintage moments turns what is already an enjoyable album into an inspirational call to arms to musicians everywhere. Reminding us that music comes in many intricate designs, The Whiplash Curve is audio utopia.”

Q: Hi Krisita, Who did the gorgeous violin work on your disappearance song. I'm here in Victoria and would love to get in touch with them. Looking forward to seeing you at VFMS on the 18th gig. . Ih
A: Hello Ihor! Richard Moody (The Bills, Brishen) did the beautiful violin work. We recorded a full album together that will be coming out at the end of 2013. ReverbNation is showing gigs from earlier in the year... no feature spots at the VFMS for me for a little while, but I will have some gigs in the new year once the new record, 'The Whiplash Curve', is out. Many thanks!
