Oklahoma has been known to produce some of the best music around these days and once again another promising band emerges from north of the Red River. Kevin Pickett & Southern Rain are quickly becoming a force on the Oklahoma/Texas music scene. Their latest release “New Tattoos”, which moves in and out of musical styles from country to southern rock to blues to bluegrass and back, is something fresh for red dirt fans of all kinds. With Oklahoma radio picking up “Garvin Co. Blues” and “Gettin’ Right” and shows reaching from Tulsa, OK into North and Central TX and everywhere in between, this band is sure to leave no one disappointed a live performance. And they show no signs of slowing down anytime soon, steps are already being taken by the band for a follow up to “New Tattoos” and possible tracks for their sophomore effort are being polished out live in Oklahoma and Texas every weekend. Kevin Pickett & Southern Rain is one band that you don’t want to miss.
