Bio

To get my story, I CAN'T tell it without the story of the people who I came up with as I have not and will not EVER forget where I came from.
I have been writing rhymes since I was 10 years old, but as a professional musician I got my first few shows and freestyle competitions around '97. My first real recording experiences in making real tracks came in '98 and my first real shows came in '99.
I finally started recording for my first professionally pressed album "Itap records presents: Tales from the script" in late '99 which was then realeased in 2001, I was the primary artist on the album, appearing on 10 of the 15 tracks and the only artist to feature a solo song on the album. Finishing a close 2nd in a Vancouver-wide sponsored battle of the bands type competition would be the pinacle before the downward spiral of Itap records.
The "Itap family" would later disband in 2003, with my younger brother "Evo. Freez" my best friend "D.J. Stelos" and myself later forming our current crew "Homegrown Inc." which would later become an actual lisenced business "Homegrown records inc." where we also have established a successful clothing line "Inc. clothing" (Investing in new crops clothing).
Since it's inception, Homegrown records has released 3 mixtapes "Planting the seeds" volumes 1 & 2 and "Close our eyes" a Tsunami relief album which raised tsunami relief funds for victims of the tsunami that hit Thailand in December of 2004. Opening for the likes of the Beatnuts, the Visionaries, Aceyalone and K-os would be the highlights of my year personally.
In march of 2005 "Pud Fluff & Stelos present; the next best thing" would be Homegrown records inc's first professionally pressed album. My 2nd professional release came later in 2005 w/ "Spy vs. Spy" an album featuring myself and another member of Homegrown Inc. "Pud Fluff" (don't ask me why THAT was his choice of M.C. name...LOL) That album really pushed our creativity to new heights; writing which would at the time be our best work as artists.
With the departure of some key members of the group who chose to pursue other musical interests Homegrown's first group album "The first crop" was scrapped all together and re-recorded as 2 years of work was essentially erased and started from scratch. With "the first crop" album being delayed repeatedly I decided to move on with my solo material.
I have a mixtape "Destiny waits for nobody" set to be released in February 2009 and then followed up by my first professionally pressed solo joint which I am tentatively caught up in trying to name; it's a toss-up between "K2 - the butterfly effect" OR "the fugly duckling" (any feedback on which one would be better would be appreciated btw).
I have performed at several venues ranging from huge to small, opener to headliner, pub to club, 4000 people to 14people. Opening for as mentioned before the likes of the Beatnuts, Visionairies, Aceyalone, K-os, Obie Trice, Bukue One, Classified and Moka Only are just some of the hip-hop immortals that I have been able to open for. Which I must admit is probably what I cherish the most as an artist; the opportunity to meet w/ as a peer and not merely a fan. These are artists that I ave always looked up to and they're tellin' ME that MY shit is dope?!?!?! WTF!!! THAT my friends is what puts gas on the fire the most. Don't get me wrong though; money is a FANTASTIC motivator.
I'm looking forward to meeting other artists through reverbnation and promoting my shit all-out. This looks like the spot to make some noise if you are hip-hop. So, I hope y'allz like my shit and if anybody is interested collaborating; holla @ me, I travel LOTS w/ work and there is a very realistic possibility that I can and would travel to make something happen. Anybody w/ the power to make me a millionaire; CALL ME ;)

... well that's me... for now... stay tuned... Pzzzzzzzzzzzzzz K-1
