“It has been written that “pain is the touchstone of all spiritual growth.” Perhaps for Joey it was the decision his parents made to split up. Or maybe it was his decisions to leave his mother and move to Texas. Most likely, it was the decision to take inventory of what was not working in his life and in his music and change what he could. None of that really matters as it is detail grounded in circumstance. What matters is the action behind the decision to reinvent himself. The result of all these actions is that Joey Love has found his voice in a Paul Reed Smith guitar, the sound of which is his soul.”
