Joanna Hoffman is a spoken word poet originally from the DC area. She was a member of the 2002, 2006 and 2007 DC/Baltimore National Poetry Slam Teams. Her 2006 team was ranked 4th in the country out of over 75 teams at the National Poetry Slam. In 2007, she was the Grand Slam Champion for DC/Baltimore, and was also the Baltimore representative for the Individual World Poetry Slam. She currently resides in Brooklyn, NY and is a part of the Spoken Word Almanac Project.
