ABOUT JIMISOUND

Gene, -aka- Jimmisound, started out playing guitar at 7 yrs old, then clarinet, saxophone, drums...  At 13 he began directing the concert bands at Castle Part Middle and High School under Mr Qsack. By 14 was organizing and playing in rock and Blues bands in and around the San Diego Area. He has some experience working in movies with Sam Raimi (Director of Spiderman) and Segal Productions ie., Silk Stockings,Renegade,Rockford files and various movies, Illegal In Blue, and Double Cross, to name a couple. He has written songs on projects with Tina Turner (Return To Thunder Dome), Grace Jones, Tevin Cambell and was invited to Steven Wonders Birthday Party in 1998 (his 48th birthday if memory serves) and has been a member of the National Songwriters Academy for years. He is a good songwriter and has earned the rights to play and sing the blues. He has always been underground and likes it that way. The song Pictures In The Sand is dedicated to his father who he lost Fathers Day June 17th, 2007.
