Free Concert by Jiiniikwe April 22nd in Council point Park, Lincoln Park, MI from 5-7pm This is also a Week long celebration to commemorate the 250th anniversary of Chief Pontiac holding Council to retake the lands from the British. Council was held at the joining of the North and South branches of the Ecorse River, now called Council Point Park in Lincoln Park. This celebration is a coordinated effort between the Lincoln Park Historical Museum and the American Indian Movement. The National American Indian Movement Grand Governing Council Spring Meeting will be held here during this commemoration celebration. The Pow Wow will be on Apr. 27 & 28, 10:00 AM until we are to tired to drum or dance. :) More news to follow.
