Lambton Shores Predators Jr. B Team Partner with The Canadian Cancer Society and Relay For Life Forest FOREST, ONT -- The Lambton Shores Predator Junior 'B' Hockey Club has announced they will be partnering with the Canadian Cancer Society once again to raise awareness of the Relay for Life event in Forest and ongoing Breast Cancer research. Funds raised during the Predators game on Saturday Oct. 13th @ 7:30 pm vs. Sarnia Legionnaires at the Shores Arena in Forest will be shared between breast cancer awar eness campaigns and Relay For Life Forest. With the assistance of local supporters and donors Breast Cancer Statistics have changed rapidly over the past several years. Progress is being made against all types of cancer. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among Canadian women and one of the Canadian Cancer Society's most active areas of study. More and more women are surviving this disease, with mortality rates falling by more than 30 percent since 1986. "Relay For Life Forest and the funds they have raised over the past eight years have gone towards the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society," Canadian Cancer Society Fundraising Coordinator Paula McKinlay said. "With the support of Relay, we can fund Canada’s best researchers, who work tirelessly towards the next breakthrough in cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment to save more lives."
