Concert at The Old Firehouse. I'm so excited about this one! Comfort food in musical form, delivered with an angel's voice. It's what you'd want to hear while sharing a warm blueberry muffin with a dear friend, or settling down in your favorite chair for a delicious nap. It is the music you want while you pet a purring cat. It is deeply thoughtful, yet confident, rousing. It stirs you to be the person you want to be. That's Jen! Jen hails from the tiny mountain town of Idyllwild, California, where the mayor is a golden retriever. She has been writing songs and performing them in various venues for nearly a decade. Among her accolades in 2014, she was the winner of the Walnut Valley Festival Newsongs Competition, Finalist at the Tumbleweed Music Festival in Richland, WA, Finalist at the San Diego County Fair Singer/Songwriter Competition, and Finalist at the Wildflower! Art and Music Festival Performing Songwriter Competition in Richardson, TX.

Bio: The first thing you'll notice is her voice.
Keep listening, and you'll hear lyrics that take you to the corners of memory. Then she'll surprise you with something completely different. She's silly. Sensual. Spiritual. Sentimental.
That's Jen.

Q: Jen could you send me the chord progression for Can't Trust a Heart. I'm singing Tuesday and would love to sing that song. Reference? Ask Deborah Louie/Singer Songwriter on ReverbNation- daughter!

A: I play it in Drop D tuning. D Your heart knows the truth of you all the things you're meant to do are G tucked down in that sacred place found only when you find the grace to D feel it It only takes a certain mood and a touch of gratitude and your G truth comes out in little streams of light that's how you know your dreams D are real A Cuz you may have a secret, but hearts are G so bad at keeping them, they D always end up making such a riot A can't trust a heart to keep it D quiet (second verse has same chords as the first. Lyrics are: your heart knows the truth of you all the things you always knew but could not share them openly fearing someone else might see and judge when you bury it down in the deep and hope it lies there fast asleep your heart knows that it's still there won't let you hide forever it cares too much.) chorus repeat and out.
