james lee stanley has released 27 recordings and tours relentlessly. all of his albums have received brilliant reviews, as do all of his concerts. he is a remarkable songwriter, an extradordinary guitarist, creating orchestrations as opposed to the usual strumming; and an extremely funny man, not to mention his legendary modesty. children and animals take to him immediately. trust me. he is the best. book him.

James Lee Stanley has been a headliner all over the country as well as being the opening act for Steven Wright for three years. In addition, thru the years he has done countless dates with Bonnie Raitt, Robin Williams, Bill Cosby, Nicolette Larson, the Dixie Dregs, Chick Corea and Return To Forever, Ramsey Lewis, Kenny Rankin, Pamala Stanley, The Dillards, Crystal Gayle, Leo Kottke, John Fahey, Dionne Warwick, Mac Davis, Kenny Loggins, Corky Siegel, Dirk Hamilton, Jesse Winchester, Peter Tork, Michael Smith, John Batdorf, Little Feat, Jackson Browne, Spiro Gyra, Michael Murphy, Laurence Juber, Poco, The Smithereens, John Hiatt, Art Garfunkel, and many, many others.
He has produced recordings of Peter Tork, Mike Pinder, Tom Dundee, Thom Bishop, Sharon Abreu, Nicolette Larson, Pamala Stanley, Michael Smith, John Batdorf, Laurence Juber, as well as all his own recordings.
