Jack Dupon is a progressive rock band consisting of two guitars, drums, bass, percussion and singing.

The music is almost impossible to describe, but Jack Dupon performs a delirious music, full of humor and rhythm, dynamic, leaving free course to the imagination...

Jack Dupon is primarily a live band communicating a lot through music but also by their personal universe really existing at performances. This adds a higher human dimension, which is mostly felt by the public. An opportunity then appears: let experimental music emerge from the shadow, in order to discover a new landscape remaining accessible to everyone. And this perhaps corresponds to an expectation, even a desire to offer an alternative to formatted music.

The creation of pieces is made in a scientific-empirical manner: Compositions take shape starting from topics brought by one or the other of the musicians, or of total improvisations recorded and worked over again in the studio. The pieces are often long and explored; their structures are evolutionary and alive as the bed of a river. All this performed with amazing precision.

The musics are colored with comfortable, tense or violent ambiences that can stretch or stand out, decompose themselves to rebound. The instrumental instants are punctuated with vocal interventions. Singing is then considered to be a rhythmic or lyric element, such the fifth instrument. Sometimes remote, sometimes audible, resembling the bubbles of a comic strip. In the purest oratory respect of oral transmission of tales and legends, the group includes gradually voice and singing in the compositions.

Gregory, Thomas and Arnaud do not regret having missed school to devote themselves to the impertinent joys of music since 2001. Three years later, instead of punishing them, Philippe, an old rock'n roll wolf joins the band in order to venture in new musical and creative experiences. This wild equipped attempts its first blow on the scene of the festival in Egliseneuve.

Braving the infernal heat of the summer 2004, this concert will remain by far the most unforgettable. On this, the four protagonists are getting back in the saddle, giving birth to their first compositions such as a tetra-Cephalous creature and beginning their journey through places and ages. Hard work in the studio and in the kitchen, Jack Dupon develops his legs and sharpens his weapons in order to prepare exploring the vast lands of experimental, progressive and psychedelic rock.

In the year of grace 2005, the group surveys the various regions of France, deliriously narrating the escapades of the legendary Jack Dupon, often leaving the audiences dreaming.

In 2006 these fantastic stories were also illustrated on the Internet thanks to creation of the site and in particular by the means of a clip entirely bent hand (starting from genuine fabrics of Dupon Jack). Jack Dupon enchains wild shopping and attends the birth of "Cheval Infirm", a photo-video job accomplished by an artist with a fox-head who wishes to remain anonymous.

The music will notably entice the city of Brugheas (fief of ranches and ponies) at the time of the third edition of the rock contest in April 2007. Gaining 4 splendid standards at the time of this event, Jack Dupon immediately leaves to gallop to go to the 19th edition of the European rock contest in Bilbao, Spain. The Bilborock was the opportunity for Jack Dupon to confront the Iberian bulls during an epic battle within a packed and hysterical arena. They obtain the tail and the ears of the animal, that is to say: 4th price of the City of Bilbao, best stage performance and the price for the Best bass player in the pop-rock sections for Arnaud M´Doihoma.

In the end of 2007 Jack Dupon feels ready to put all his energy in the recording of a first album. Some sendings of demo items of artwork to several record labels and surprise: the most important of them, Musea, answers favorably via its general manager the legendary Bernard Gueffier.

At the beginning of 2008 mixing of the album, then participation in an ambitious video project, several festivals of which the Rock-Preserv, playing for more than 7,500 people. In September 2008 release of the album "L'ECHELLE DU DESIR" in its pleasant lighting case.
