What do you get when you combine musicians that collectively between them have two grammy nominations, a song on a NASCAR DVD, a world of tour experience with bands like Metallica, Audioslave, Nickelback, Filter, Our Lady Peace, sold out crowds in the 100,000's worldwide?
You get ISAAC JAMES!

The industry professionals will tell you that the basis of any successful band is to have a good solid foundation and that foundation includes a story unmatched by all.

Well sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip...

No this ain't some 60's tv sitcom but the theme song will stick in your head and the characters will most likely burrow under your skin for an eternity.

ISAAC JAMES actually started out as a completely different band consisting of the same members minus a singer. The band was brought together by fate, by chance, whatever the reason, it worked and it grew into something incredible in a very short period.

An artist with a manager in Kansas City Mo recorded a great record and needed a band to put it all together so said manager began an exhausting search on the internet and ran across Gil Cole/lead guitarist, Joel Ekman(formerly of grammy nominated Stone Stour)/drums, and Joel's newest musician neighbor, John Lillard/bassist.

The band tried out a few other rhythm guitarists/backing vocalist before running across Chris "Blackie" Starks (formerly of Karma and Field of Grey, who was at the time doing nothing more than local shows in the St Louis area.

All of the band members would converge in KCMO from Wichita KS, Des Moines IA, and St Louis, MO once a week despite the rising cost of fuel, knowing that something big was on the verge of breaking. Practices would last all weekend and the band grew really close as a family.

The current singer had different creative ideas than the rest of the band and after solidifying fears of said differences after two performances, the band was going to call it quits, when Gil called up Blackie and asked if he'd like to continue on with the rest of the members with he as the frontman.

Immediately Blackie moved to KCMO and began the weekly commute with Gil to Joel's house in Des Moines IA and what would follow, no one could imagine the potential about to burst.

In only a few short months, ISAAC JAMES has already written an album's worth of solid tunes, attracted industry attention worldwide, has recently finished recording with major label producer, Scott Spelbring and has released it's first EP titled "TOO MUCH HORSEPOWER" Look for it in major chains and radio stations everywhere.

The band ISAAC JAMES, promises to bring RAW ROCK ENERGY back to the stage, reminiscent of the rock greats that we all grew up on.
