Based in their hometown of Cape Town ( South Africa ), brothers Regan and Gareth (Aka Chesh) started their musical careers as teen-agers giging at night clubs while still at school.
Jazz, funk, twisted rock, classical and finally electronic dance production have all played key roles in the development of their unique taste and now production style.

With Hydrophonic, they try to incorporate everything they love about music and sound design to create good vibes on dancefloors the world over. Trying to find the balance between full-on and progressive Psy-Trance, and not sticking to the same old tried and tested formulas, Hydrophonic produce a unique sound that has fast gained them worldwide recognition. The Hydrophonic live set is constantly changing, with plans of adding more and more live elements as time goes by.

Hydrophonic release their music on their own record label NANO Records (which they co-own with DJ Ans/The Electric Ant). They released their debut album "Aquabatics" on NANO in July 2004 and have been busy blasting parties and festivals across the globe ever since.
