Horse Operas was born and bred in Austin, TX in 2004 as an off-shoot of the band Gutshot and Thirsty (Athens, GA) and German Beef Initiative (Austin, TX). Led by songwriters Paul Stuffel and Henry Michael Stotts, the band explored the country, folk and southern rock music of central and southwest Texas.
