Bio
Hillbilly Hellcats are a Rockabilly trio, currently rated #1 for Colorado Rockabilly and Psychobilly on Myspace
Chuck Hughes of Lafayette, Co. on guitar is joined by Lance Bakemeyer on bass and Tim Thies on Drums. The band's stylings are influenced by early rockabillies such as Gene Vincent and Johnny Burnette, as well as bands from the contemporary rockabilly/psychobilly movement, including Rev. Horton Heat and the Stray Cats.
Recently the band’s songs were featured in the Hollywood horror movie Dead and Breakfast, and are regularly played on MTV, CMTV, HBO, Showtime, and numerous other networks. While retaining the spirit of rockabilly music, their songs include topics outside of the standard rockabilly themes. The band has 2 CDs.
About
We are currently playing Colorado and looking forward to a couple gigs in Hawaii next month. We are also taking some time to get our marketing together, and would like to thank Barbara Russell, Ariell Hyatt, Bob Baker, Jeri Goldstein, Carla Hall, and DerekSsivers for their guidance. Hopefully we will soon have this stuff on autopilot and can get back to writing and recording new material.
