HighLite Vibes began as a youth band in the Episcopal Church, Epiphany & St. Simon, located in Brooklyn, NY. Comprised of seven members, Kurleigh Lowe, Marwin Hunte, Kevin Lowe, Kenrick Lowe, Aderemi Dosunum, and Marvin Gaye the band electrified Sunday masses with their renditions of traditional hymns and their own original melodies. Recognizing their acceptance and their desire to spread their talent to other Episcopal churches, the band began to take their music on the road.

Spearheaded by Kurleigh Lowe, organist and musical arranger, HighLite Vibes has performed at several Episcopal Churches such as Calvary and St. Cypriani’s in Brooklyn, Grace Episcopal Church in Queens and St. John’s and St. George’s in Long Island. The band also performed at the Archdeaconry of Brooklyn concert in relief of Episcopal charities and more recently for the new bishop of the diocese of Long Island.

HighLite Vibes has transformed into a full-fledged business. Whatever services you need, they can supply. They provide a band, steel pan combo and a DJ for functions ranging from weddings and parties to coffee hours and church events. Music tutoring is also provided for children and adults. Currently their albums,"Volume 2: Steel & Praise"and "Back a Yard," are available on popular music sites.
