About

HATEFX portrays metal with a distinctive factorization of elements, bringing a broader mix of metal with solid grooves and versatile sonic textures. All these linked together with effective songwriting are the offering from the hard-hitting metal band from Fresno, CA.

In the short time since their startup, the band has shared national act bills with the likes of Static X, Exodus, In this Moment, Five Finger Death Punch, Drowning Pool, Helmet, Kittie, Prong, Bury Your Dead, Dragonlord, Unwritten Law, Otep, Ankla, In Vitro, Adema, among others, playing already 2 times in the Whisky a Go Go and rocking crowds of over 1,300 souls!.

Following the excellent response to their first EP “Via Obscura“, and the endorsement of X2 Digital Wireless Systems and Halo Custom Guitars, HateFX recently completed their new album "The Holy Frail" featuring guest musicians from California, Stockholm (Sweden) and South America. This record is their most elaborated material yet! and it's available through all the major online stores (iTunes, Rhapsody, Amazon, Napster, etc).

HateFX has a well rounded concept and streamlined tunefulness that is less present in the genre nowadays and has managed to attract more listeners that look beyond the typical metal hybrids. The band also understands the importance of live shows and has developed a quite elaborated act that includes full standing custom made stage banners, light/standing boxes, props and several impact strobe lights to give the right ambience to their performance.

H8FX's frontman, G, was the co-founder of “Dogma” one of the most recognized Chilean metal bands, his experience includes 4 studio albums, 6 videos with regular airplay on MTV LA and album of the month recognition by Headbangers Ball MTVLA among other achievements. Shortly after the band got together, Dogma signed record deals with major label divisions, EMI and Sony Music with heavy promotion and support. Dogma's combined record sales surpassed 9,800 copies in a country where the population is only 15M. G played with Dogma for over 10 years, culminating the band's career in late 2005 because of personal differences.

G then decided to move to the US and started working on material for HateFX. Through networking he contacted Dan, (ex-"The Council"), Sacramento band that had substantial experience and recognition in the circuit and shared the stage with Fear Factory and Slayer, then completing the lineup with James who takes the low end to a hardcore level for the H8FX powerhouse

HATEFX's high-intensity framework of sonic textures and grabbing musical experience cannot be overlooked. The material has been described by specialized independent rock press to merge the best of the classic ‘crossover’ metal offerings with the widest realm of heavy pounding grooves that you can think of. Their blend of heavy -detail oriented-work and heavy grooves, offers a solid rhythm base; although each song stands out with a unique identity from an artistic perspective, there is an overall common theme throughout the songs: a full heavy sound that has the listener singing along in a matter of moments.

The band continues to build a solid following in California, completing the RaginPit Tour as one of the local headliners for Northern CA and ready to start touring to support the new album which will have them playing at a number of important venues this year
