Hafdis is a former member of Icelandic collective Gus Gus. Since going solo, she has collaborated with several artists including F C Kahuna and Tricky. Her debut solo album 'Dirty Paper Cup' won Best Album at the Icelandic Music Awards and received rave reviews across the press.

Her 16 date UK tour in Summer 2009 took in major festivals including The Big Chill and Secret Garden festival.

Her second solo album, 'Synchronised Swimmers' will be released in Iceland in mid-October 2009 to coincide with Iceland Airwaves festival. It will be available in the rest of the world in early 2010.
