GRUIS SPECTRA nace en Julio del 2005 al mismo tiempo que la realización de su primera producción independiente "planeta b." Desde sus inicios la banda logra plasmar en su música un rock alternativo donde si bien la guitarra y voz de Eric son generalmente el centro-motor de los temas, los teclados de Chambers siempre juegan un papel importante y en algunas ocasiones protagónico. Son Mijer en el bajo y Danny en la batería los que se encargan de construir el "drive" necesario para cada canción.
GRUIS SPECTRA significa para nosotros "el sonido del norte de México" ya que la palabra GRUIS viene del Latín "grus" (grulla) y a la vez Aztlán significa "lugar de las grullas."

It was back in 2005 when Gruis Spectra recorded an 8-track EP (planeta b) that very soon started to be part of local radio stations broadcasting. Within a year the band participated in several festivals and contests like the international Emergenza contest where Gruis Spectra got 2nd place in all southwest area of the States, Rockampeonato (2nd place in the state of Chihuahua) and Vive Cuervo & Roll (4th place national in Mexico). For the next two years Gruis Spectra became part of important festivals like Rock en el Rio (Juárez, Mexico), FICH (Chihuahua state), Tu Rock es Votar (Mexico city) and Rockarga (Pyramids of Teotihuacan).
Currently, Gruis Spectra has a 13-track new album (Palabras Tuertas) & several videos in national tv.
