Gregor The Terror / Press

“What I liked about his CD is that it is blatantly unpretentious. Secondly, he plays within his genre very well, which is uh....help me out...uh a little bit o' punk from the Ramones (but I hear some Zappa-style humor as well as Blue Oyster Cult's over-reaching enthusiasm). I mean, it is basic rock and roll. And he plays it very well. The lyrics are in fact clever and funny. Such as: "No class, like a teacher in the summer". Lastly: it is hilarious. I give it an A in entertainment value. That's what good rock and roll is: a little fun. Plus let's give credit where credit is due: He did this all as a home recording amatuer. Hey, who else is putting out an album of a dozen tunes which they wrote, recorded, and on which they performed everything?”

“Two things mark this album by Gregor the Terror as different: the sense of fun in each song and the social conscience behind it. It's Punk of the Texas/U.S. variety. The songs are fast, funny and fantastic. The humour is in your face and ranges from punny, (as witnessed by the album cover), to really, really funny. I was searching for a metaphore or analogy for the music but the thing that kept coming to mind is the art of Ed Roth. If you know his stuff you'll know what to expect. ”
