Gravity can easily be referred to as the fastest rising star in the HipHop industry. Within three years, he has been able to move from obscurity to nationwide recognition through a prolific and tenacious approach to his music. Currently his video for the hit single ‘Kemikali Kali’ is getting considerable airplay on a number of TV channels.

Gravity was born Ian Mutisya Mbithi on 10th April 1987. He is the first-born son of Mr & Mrs Mbithi and has two sisters Faith and Natalie who follow him.

His passion for rhyme and beat got the best of him in 2002 while a student at Lukenya School. He prepared himself with the gulping of rhymes from other hiphop artists and trying out different styles until he hit his own raw unique way of turning mere words into lyrical gold!

In January of 2008 he recorded his first single ‘Unashida?’which made him a household name in his hometown Machakos and his hood in Parklands Nairobi.

In August 2008, he launched a 12 track album titled “Kemikali Kali” containing the hit singles ‘Kemikali Kali’, ‘Elevated’ featuring Kanana and ‘Higher’ featuring Dawood.

In August 2009 he released the widely acclaimed video for ‘Kemikali Kali’, which received rare reviews in both social networks and the mass media. A month later he released his latest hit single “Ignorance” which is doing well in various charts.

He is currently working on his second album as he tours different parts of the country
