We write songs. Blues & Roots songs. We mine the great music of Memphis, New Orleans, Detroit, and Chicago for inspiration. We've been writing, recording, performing, and honing our craft together for 10 years. We don't perform extended jams; it's all about the song. After our set at a local blues bar recently, someone told us "Good Rocking Sam is as tight as a duck's ass."

I saw the Blues Wax photos for the recent IBC competition today. One band in the finals was from the Magic City Blues Society. Of course I thought they were from my hometown, Billings, MT. Turns out B
