Giovanni is one part soul, one part energy and one part song! With a commitment to satisfy fans with explosive performances, the solo artist formally known as the lead singer for the trio “Wild BOYZ”, is now the hottest new artist of the millennium. The Wild BOYZ was first started by John Amato, his brother James Amato and three of their closest friends Miguel Olazaba, Tootie Teel and Trini Valdez. Together, they secured the foundation of the group’s success. But with the tragic death of James Amato, John had to find the strength to continue on in his brother’s memory. Originally the two Amato brothers first started as a dance group named “The Review”, the two brothers danced for artist on the Billboard’s Pop and R&B dance charts such as Jaya, Johnny ‘O, Connie and Stevie B. They also toured with Sheila ’E and danced in her two videos entitled, “Sex Symbol” and “Dropping Like - Flies. Hence, the Wild BOYZ were born!!! John has followed his dream, a dream that James never really had the chance to follow. But, John has done it for them both as the solo artist Giovanni continues. Giovanni has performed with the likes of Wild Orchid, C&C Music- Factory and Two Cool Kris at the “Summer Bash” in Houston Texas. At the Latin Festival in San Francisco, California, Giovanni performed with Malo, Spanish Fly, Josette and Johnny Z. He performed also with Roger and Zapp at the Low Rider Super Show in Phoenix, Arizona. Finally, Giovanni had performed on Univision’s nationally televised Spanish show called “Caliente”. In his own words, the solo artist discusses his struggles and success in the music industry: John (AKA Giovanni) states, “My road has been long and hard, however my dreams at being a successful performer is the fire that burns in my heart and it shows through my musical lyrics and performances. The hours in the studio have been countless and long, at times it seems as if my best just doesn’t seem to be good enough. But, as a professional, it is at those times that I have to dig a little deeper to get through”. My main love is performing and it’s taken a lot of hard work, dedication, countless hours in the studio and in rehearsals to get to this point.
