Formed in Athens, GA in 2008, Gift Horse is Hunter Morris (vocals/keyboards), Mike Stokes (guitar/vocals), Vaughan Lamb (bass), & Brandon Scarboro (drums). The band recently finished their debut full length produced by Hank Sullivant (Kuroma, The Whigs, MGMT) & engineered by Nate Nelson (Nate Nelson and Cortright, Maria Taylor). In 2009, Gift Horse played SXSW, Philadelphia, NYC & extensively toured the east coast. 2010 will see the release of their debut album & their first full national tour. Gift Horse has played with Dead Confederate, The Meat Puppets, Kuroma, All the Saints, Richard Lloyd (Television), Arizona, & Twin Tigers. Gift Horse is compared to My Bloody Valentine, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Breeders, Low & The Black Angels.
