Bio
George is a walking contradiction (to borrow a Kris Kristofferson line). Songwriter, singer, actor, stage director, philosopher and existential depressive. Country, blues, country rock and a little folk are genres that perhaps encompass his style. He has performed at Nashville clubs, New York stages, and around the country. He now lives in Springfield, Missouri with his wonderful wife Debbie and son, Josh.
About
Well, artistically speaking, George is a jack of all trades. Songwriter, singer, musician, actor, director, and producer are titles that fit George.
Although born in Los Angeles, George moved to Missouri when he was 10 years old. His father was raised on a farm in Marshfield, MO and his mother is from Tennesee.
He was raised on country music and even though living in New York City for thirteen years, he never forgot his roots. While living for thirteen years in NYC, he pursued an acting career. He appeared many times in Off Broadway stages, TV and films. While there, David Pincus, a recording producer heard his songs and helped record them at RCA studios.
Some of these songs you can hear on his playlist. These include Smoking Gun, Someday Somewhere, Somehow, Love Puzzle, The Angel On My Shoulder, Quiet In My Mind, Pumping Gas On Christmas Eve and When I Can't See Your Face. George would like to thank David Pincus, Scott Wakefield and Jeff Sugarman for those "New York Years" of recording.
His more recent songs are Dangerous Kind, Baby, You Dont' , Water Mocassin Falls, One More Time and Straight To My Heart, Rock My Guitar and Debbie Will Know.
He currently lives in Springfield, MO, where he writes his music and teaches acting classes for film and stage. You can check out his business called A Class Act at www.georgecron.com.
George appreciates your support as you listen to his music. His fans appreciate something a little different in country music.
