“Performing since age 6, doing professional gigs since age 10, Ingram outgrew stage fright long ago. Performing with bands or going out on his own he always belongs in the spotlight. His records have featured occasional guests performers, the work is mostly him playing all the parts. His live performances have always been his calling card. Gary goes into that special mode on the stage as he plays he seems tireless. He plays until he is exhausted, giving all he has to the music. His music dictates that. He doesn’t think about it as it happens. He gets his fuel from the music & from the crowd. “I’ve always said the audience is what feeds me, we pass that energy back & forth to each other.” Recording of his songs are great things. Ingram is glad to be in the business of making the recordings, but nothing beats performing in front of an audience. In Gary’s hands the live music scene is stronger than ever. Nothing can substitute for going out, hearing, seeing him play live.”
