Formed in May 2007 as a solo project, FrostWork has a sound that its founder Dagon defines as “The Personification of Frost”.

One of the UK’s most experienced Black Metal musicians, Dagon started out his musical career in 1999 as founder, vocalist and co-writer of Heathen Deity, one of the original bands from the first wave of UK Black Metal, and still going strong. 

Following an accident that kept him virtually housebound for over a year, Dagon used his time to explore different musical avenues, and expand on the Black Metal genre; an exploration that led to the formation of FrostWork as a vehicle to turn mental anguish and pain into music, thus creating a sound that is as cold and as threatening as a winter storm.

March 15 2008 saw the release of FrostWork’s first demo, “The Rites of Winter; The First storm, which was followed by the announcement that Fordervelse, of the Norwegian Black Metal band Koldbrann, would be providing session drums for the next release.
