Bio
fpc's “Too Long” has a terrific cinematic feel, as do several other tracks on his ep. There is a light, whimsical acoustic flavor in the first track - combined with nice, soft keys and a colorful, intensely melodic lead guitar riff.
“Remember Mickey” is a tender and tearful ballad, while the sweet “This Way Home” continues with the established soft, melodic flavor fpc will soon be known for. “Drifting (For Anna)” is the Ep’s best, with its complicated piano whirling through the entire track accompanied by a perfectly pulled off minimalist arrangement. About
Ten tracks of mesmerizing sound are contained on a new self-titled release FPC(For Popular Consumption)! There’s a broad range of musical styles from liquid, dreamy chill tunes to quiet and contemplative pieces that could rival Beethoven compositions. FPC opens with “Too Long,” a delicious acoustic guitar song supported by keyboards and synthesizer. My personal favorite, the lushly arranged “Remember Mickey” is an emotionally stirring Moby-esque ballad. “Drifting (for Anna)” is embellished with winding piano lines. Other highlights include “The Hunger," “Still,” and “The Reading Girl.” A Canadian native, FPC's mastery of music engages listeners by taking them to a pensive place. All in all, FPC is a cinematic soundscape full of imagery, distant lands and provocative moods. Fans of chill, electronica and lounge genres will likely flock to this project, but the truth of the matter is that it has mass appeal for the audiophile in all of us!

Quebec, Canada - His ability to capture a mood or an energy is quite extraordinary. You listen to songs like, “The Hunger”, and you feel as if you were watching a scene from a movie. Actually, let me re-phrase that. What I’m listening to is a musical score – not a song. Perhaps a brief from one so-titled piece, “Fantasy for Strings”: This piece is so thought provoking, so emotional. The use of electronics, along with acoustic instruments is breathtaking.
THIS IS For Popular Consumption (FPC).
Every note, every sequence has a purpose – has a story. FPC’s emotions absolutely boils over. And there is no escaping that realization of that talent that lies beneath. It is pure, it is skilled, it is intelligent. The ability to take an emotion or thought and transform it into such masterpieces is more than extraordinary. I call it a fusion of Mozart meets the electronic age.
I’m literally blown away by the raw talent. There is no doubt, you will be, too!
A & R Select in West Hollywood, Ca. has the distinct privilege of promoting such a rare talent. I can physically see his scores being played in movies from all the major studios.
