Five Smooth Stones is a family band from northern Baltimore County. Blending diverse musical influences, such as Jars of Clay, newsboys, Switchfoot, Audio Adrenaline, Third Day and more, Five Smooth Stones strives to involve the audience, encouraging them to participate in the moment, then fostering a desire to participate in the kingdom, in service to one another. Five Smooth Stones' original music can best be described as Gospel:Rock; each song is lyrically founded in God's Word and musically formulated on the guitars, bass & drums energy plan. Cover tunes from their range of Christian Music influences are often included in the set.

About
Mission Statement Maryland natives Five Smooth Stones are a Gospel/Rock quartet who emphasize the good news of the sovereign God who shows mercy and grants grace to help in time of need. The music drives us to move and inspires us to love and serve each other, for the one who gave Himself for us, Jesus Christ.
We gladly work with Pastors, Worship Leaders and Music Directors to incorporate event themes into our part of the program. We do not consider our ministry as a worship ministry but are certainly open to helping in any capacity that leads to the blessing of Christ and His kingdom. We will work within any financial arrangement that allows us to minister.
FSS wishes to thank: God, our Father and Lord Jesus Christ and sanctifying Spirit, for creation, salvation, His good pleasure in us, and all other blessings, including the humans we would also thank: our families, home church Mt. Carmel, and friends. Particularly, Tom's parents (known to the rest of the band as Grandmom and Grandpop) for allowing us to be a garage band in their garage and even to gradually commandeer their basement.
