About

Fede received his first guitar at age 8 and immediately began teaching himself to play. Inspired by listening to classical guitarist Andres Segovia, he studied classical guitar for ten years with Maestro Carlo Palladino. He didn’t consider his studies compulsory; rather he practiced every free time because of his passion for music.

This dedicated student also learned to read music and was curious to understand how was it written. Fede learned from great masters; his instruction also included classical music compositions for national and international competition. “Aporein”, a quintet he composed for a competition in Italy, received special mention.

At age 16 Fede formed his first group, The Aries, where he played electric bass, electric and acoustic guitars. Together with a keyboard player and a drummer, they liked to play the popular Prog Rock hits and remade Tarkus by Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Then he was in another local group, the AFM, until he was 25.

At that age he decided to begin his solo career. Since then Fede has composed music for various theatrical performances: soundtracks for short movies in Italy, documentaries, and institutional videos for Italian universities. He was selected as the musician for a tribute honoring the prolific artist Paul Klee.

To date Fede has produced seven albums: His first three CDs were distributed in Italy and Europe: Federico Fasce (2001) with the Italian label Videoradio that was first in the general chart of the Italian Vitaminic site for one month and for more than two months on the British general chart. Following was Antade in 2002 and CD 3 in 2003. Winter Blossoms (2005), was the first to be available in North America.

Next came Images from the Past (2006) and Tales of the Desert Seas (2007).

Recharged Memoirs (2008) represents a balance of his diverse musical experiences. With influences ranging from Bach to The Beatles and beyond, the 15 tracks on this CD range from Fede’s love of “Jamming” on his guitars to his passion for composing soundtracks for films, something he feels he was born to do.

Reflecting on how his music has evolved over the years, Fede has technically developed his recording system, the quality improved, and he always found more creative stimulation through knowing new persons and developing new projects.

Additional discography includes Fede’s song “Speed Limit”, included on the Indie Music for Life 2007 Rock Compilation CD. His music also helps fight the bad dragon of cancer on the children’s story CD: The Hopeful Princess -- an endeavor that he considers the most noble project he could collaborate.

Although there are many challenges facing independent artists, this multi-talented musician’s songs are enjoyed world-wide on a variety of radio stations and numerous online music sites. Federico Fasce was born in Genoa Italy, where he still resides.
