About
FECKO" or 'Feck' as he's fondly called – aka Raplogic, is no doubt the promising hip-hop act in the spot light. He was born in June 1989 to a family of six where he happens to be the eldest child. He's a native of Idemili-South local government area of Anambra state and was actually christened Ifeanyi Chukwuebuka Ibegbunam. He started doing rap music professionally in 2005 when he recorded his first Demo at a digital studio somewhere in Surulere, after he graduated from high-school. Before then, he normally did voice-over/freestyles on cassette or tape recorders using hip-hop beats of various musicians as his background sound theme, which often played from the loud speakers of his father's deck – He rendered most of his dad's high-life cassettes useless as a result of his mini recording studio-experiment. After locally producing his own demo tapes, he would freely distribute them to most of his friends and school mates so they can review his work. Later in 2006, he worked on a 9-tracker album with a record label that's based in Enugu state. But unfortunately, the album wasn't released due to a snag that was caused by the label, which resulted to a major set back for the record company, but not for the signed act – has he courageously forged ahead in search of the lime-light. Some of the tracks from the unreleased album got radio airplays and also got played both at concerts and clubs in and out of Nigeria. Some tracks also got featured on several DJ mixtapes both home and abroad. Fecko participated in several hip-hop auditions; one of which was the Channel O SPRITE EMCEE AFRICA Freestyle Battle Competition which took place in Lagos in January 2008 – although he didn't make it to the Finals in South Africa. Still in the search of fame and his fortune of being a hip-hop star; in 2007 he hooked up with Ragga Remi – a former member of the Nigerian UK-based JJC & 419 SQUAD, who later introduced him to PalmBeach records. He hopes to pitch his tents with the label sooner or later, plus he believes he possesses the prerequisite as an artiste to work with the major record company. In the meantime, he's currently working as a freelance artiste on both an LP album and a hip-hop mixtape which will feature both artistes and production works from Nigeria, Cameroon, South Africa, Europe and USA. Fecko is also working real hard to make sure he drops at least two international-standard promo music videos by the first quarter of 2009, so as to help him push-up units of his forthcoming mixtape and album sales. He's also an active member of the African Hip-Hop Movement which is being spearheaded by Modenine in Nigeria with support from the British Council. He is also a reporter for PowerHouseAfrica.com which is an all-African music website and have conducted several video-taped interviews with many Nigerian mainstream artistes. There's no rest so it's best your assisting...plus he's what African Hip-Hop is missing. Watch out for this kid!!!
