His career starts in 1997. Since then he released 6 albums and performed in festival, clubs and theaters.
Collaborations: among the others with M° Luis Bacalov, Orchestra del Teatro Regio di Parma, with "Hollow Blue", Luca Venitucci...
About
Luca Faggella
In 1997 in a Roman bookshop he stages “Faggella sings Ciampi”, songs by the italian poet Piero Ciampi (1934-1980).
since then Music Festivals such as the ‘Ciampi' Prize, Rome Jazz & Image, Rome meets the World, Jazz In Sardinia, Watch this Space (National Theatre, London), Sant'Arcangelo dei Teatri, Premio Tenco and many others. Faggella is winner of the prestigious Tenco Prize for Best Emergent Songwriter in 2002. On november, same year, he's in Baghdad for a concert with "Artists Against War" (which gathers artists and performers and video makers). Moreover he plays Nagg in Samuel Beckett “Endgame” (2000), King Venceslaus in Alfred Jarry “Ubu Roi” (1996) and the Magician in Borges “The Library of Babel” (2001) – all shows directed by Michelangelo Ricci. Sings as "Jimmy" (basso-baritono) in the "Mahagonny songspiel" directed by M° Agostini, 1998. He's the voice of the contemporary music piece "Musica per le montagne" (Music for mountains) by Giovanni Guaccero (MACRO, Rome 2004.
Faggella stages also "Hiva Oa" for the 10th anniversary of "Alliance Française" in Rome (2004). Hiva Oa means a musical evolution. So with "Fetish", mixing experimental music, songs, visuals. Luca Faggella performed with the strings of the "Teatro Regio" di Parma (2007) and he's been touring italy in festivals and theatres with a concert entitled "Teatrosonoro.08". A new album is coming after the show next winter 2009.
The album entitled “Questa notte suona forte, tutto bene!” (live) comes out edited by DDF on May 25th 2007.
