About

Somewhere between the horns of Miles Davis, the drums of Fela Kuti and the introspective lyrics of Nasir Jones, Ezzie B. flows. Born Eziaku Ogbonna in Abia State, Nigeria, She later migrated to the United States of America, where she currently resides. Growing up, Ezzie developed a keen love for music and poetry. From schoolyard ciphers, and freestyle battles to Spoken word concerts and poetry slams, Ezzie earned her reputation as a potent artist and wordsmith, with attention grabbing "punchlines" and metaphors. As a trilingual artist who is in touch with both her African and American heritage, she brings a new taste and astute lyrical content to the industry. Her musical Genre is hard to classify, but easy to like, as she is not afraid to ride the waves in between mainstream rap and traditional afro hip-hop, She is influenced by many artists and styles of music ranging from Tupac Shakur to Coldplay and beyond. As a breakthrough artist, Ezzie has graced many stages in the east coast of America and plans to span her popularity throughout the states and abroad. She is the founder of Ezimusik and Ezzie Blog where you can view her blog episodes coined, 'Blogisodes' on numerous social networks and youtube.com. She credits her opportunities to her predecessors and plans to create a place for African women in the African American
music industry.

Ezzie B currently attends the University of Maryland pursuing a Doctorate in pharmacy but still finds a way to balance both professions. When asked how she managed to do so, she replied, " Music is my first love and pharmacy is an arranged marriage. I'm notmonogamous, but I'm faithful."
