Carl creates music under the online alias 'Extar' because apparently that's what all the cool people do. His friends don't call him Extar. He is a former employee of UNATCO. He enjoys Dwarf Fortress. He grumbles only mildly at inclement weather. He needs alcohol to get through the working day and is starting to work slowly due to its scarcity.
