Bio
Born in Istanbul but raised in Houston, EVRiM is an Alt Pop artist with a break-thru feel to her music, which can be best described as “Electronically-Produced Electro Pop-Rock” with infusions of New Wave, Hip-Hop, Oriental and more. At 3, EVRiM was performing a popular Turkish song for small parties. By 12, she could sight read music. Soon after, she began creating her own music and by 14 was writing full-on songs for a friend's band. During middle and high school, EVRiM produced and performed her own shows. Her performances have included an array of venues including main stage at the Houston International Festival, Helios, Dean's and Jones Plaza. She is now kicking off a summer '09 tour with The Howling Hex of Drag City Records.
About
In addition to the Arts, EVRiM has an academic side, graduating with a BS in Advertising/ Marketing from the University of Texas-Austin and later earning her MBA - Magna Cum Laude – at the University of Miami. After years of individual research into what ails the world, it was in 2004 that EVRiM invented a brand new process in psychology/sociology, which will be featured in her upcoming book – Gazelle Therapy: The Rebel's Handbook for the Journey of Life. She spent most of 2005 in a remote fishing village off the Aegean coast of Turkey writing the book.
