Even if it was just a faint whisper in the background at some point, the music was very raw, and I love seeing how the human voice fits into that kind of setting. I feel like there was a chance for some fantastically deep lyrics that got passed up. Commercially, I'm not sure that this would play regularly in the mainstream, but I sure as hell would recommend it to others.”

Q: What style of music to you enjoy playing the most?

A: Hello Laurie and thanks. With so many genres in which I'm in love with. This is a very difficult question to answer. Besides being a classical performer, I also have a country rock band. In order to be truthful, I have to provide a baseline for this answer. Therefore, I must go back to the beginning of my musical journey. I received my first piano lesson at the age of 8. I was playing Johannes Brahms No. 1 in D minor by the age of 10. When I was 11, my parents added the cello to my musical tutelage and I played my first classical concert of Brahms (piano) and Dvorak (cello) in California when I was 15. After reflecting on that particular moment in California, and seeing the audience response...I knew I was in love with classical music. To answer your question...classical music is my first love. I really appreciate you taking time to ask this question. Cheers. J
