First thing is first: how does one describe this band's sound?

Let us, for argument's sake, call them a "prog-indie-britpop' band hailing from the centre of Canada (Winnipeg). Living in the coldest city in North America with a population of over 500,000, this band knows how to be tough. However, thanks to the touch of a female vocalist, they have a much sweeter side to match that.

The ease with which the Pumas can change the pace from song to song and even within a song is astounding. This band can be aggressive in one second, and sweetly smooth in the next. No matter how hard the instruments may play, Rosie's vocals melodiously swoon and thread their way through every phrase until she turns -- on a dime -- just as aggressive as any of them.

Drawing on the unique diversity of each band member, the Pumas have crafted a sound all their own... and will continue to create original and meaningful songs that matter to themselves, and hopefully to their fans as well.
