Bio

Originally from Caloundra, Elusive moved to Noosa when he was 11. He then left for England when he was 15, with his mother. She returned to Australia 6 months later, and Elusive stayed there alone for a further year.

After returning to Australia also, his life took a downward turn.. drugs and alcohol took over, and all of his life's direction was lost.

From the smokey haze however, formed a new persona. Elusive - the rapper. Having always enjoyed rap music, and having a strong comprehension of language, Elusive's progression into the world of music was fairly smooth.

About

Elusive, a young Australian rapper, has been writing lyrics for many years. Originally, he begun with poetry, and then moved into the rap genre.

He spent several years perfecting his lyric writing abilities, studying the work of many great rappers, poets and writers such as Tech n9Ne, Chino XL and even Shakespeare. Copying many of the same writing techniques he saw used, Elusive mastered the art of "pre-emptive syllable counting", and it is this method he uses today to create the precise rhymes he uses in his songs.

After he was satisfied he had learnt everything he could about writing, he began experimenting with his voice, trying different ways of rapping and producing vocals. Dissatisfied with every recording he had made, his pursuit for the perfect sound seemed impossible.

He came up with a new plan. Versatility. Rather than finding a 'perfect sound', he would use and utilise a range of different sounds in his different songs. Versatility outweighs perfection.
