Q: Can you explain the meaning and message behind "NDQ"? I am not sure how to interpret this as it relates to the character of your band.
A: Yes I can answer your question behind NDQ. The song tells a story about the falling out of an "old friend". I was wrongly accused of having sexual relations with his girlfriend that I was just trying to help out of a dark suicidal time in her life. Why she reached out to me... I don't know... maybe I would listen more... maybe she needed a different ear... but when word got out about the situation things went to shit and it sturred up a lot of animosity between us. At the time I felt if I went to him about her contacting me it would only escalate things between them because she came to me first about it and not him. The title of the song was created from a phone conversation I overheard my "old friend" referring to me as the band Nigger, and a Drag Queen because of my "fag-like" appearance and that my vocals to him were like Boy George over heavy music. He thought I fucked him over and I paid for it as if I did so I wrote NDQ to solidify the truth and a lie with a big middle finger extended out to him. Should I have told him about shit as it went down with his girlfriend? yes maybe I should have... Or should I have just had sex with his girlfriend since I paid for it as if I did? maybe I should have... Or maybe I did! ;)
