Q: Do you feel like alot of musicians like yourself have a lot of opportunity here in Las Vegas?

A: Every city and scene has its own pros and cons. I can only speak for myself when I say that opportunity is what you make it. There is opportunity everywhere, if you know where to find it. Furthermore, if you can't find it, make your own. There's tons of opportunity in this town. Venues and promoters are quick to take notice of artist who are putting in work to book you on shows and whatnot. HERE LIES THE PROBLEM. Many artists will stop there. As soon as theyve been booked on something big, they stop working. The opportunity isnt necessarily getting the show, it's what you do with it. Promote yourself, put on a great performance, make sure every person in that venue leaves with a cd, or a sticker, or some kind of way to remember who you are and get in contact with you so you can build your name. If you put everything you have into what you are doing, this city will back you up 100%. But understand where we live and realize that you have to work twice as hard to get half the results with the people in the town. Building a fanbase is NOT easy by any means, but it is absolutely possible with the right work ethic, promoting skills, and hustle. You have to have a good product as well. lol. I hope that helped to answer your question. In a nutshell, yes, this city is full of opportunities for bands to be discovered and make a buzz for themselves.
