"In my head, I was like damn shorty is going to rap in some heels. Now that’s the business... shorty killed it! Microphone misfit go ‘head girl…When she was rhyming on top of the beats, it was something like a phenomenon. The crowd was intimate and everyone was crowded around her. My favorite song was, “On my Beantown Shit…”...She performed I believe 5 joints and everyone was standing for all 5. When she asked anyone ever been broken? I didn’t say anything ,but I sat there Broken thankful for the acknowledgement that you can be in pain and still moving forward. That’s an amazing song. She oozes talent. Her lyrics were hard, her voice melodic and her performance stellar. I wish more people were there to bear witness. For a moment, I am not even going to lie I think she could be our version of the very lyrical Lauryn Hill. I’m not sure about her singing skills, but her rhymes are tough! As I continued to listen, she reminds me of the Floacist formerly of Floetry.

"don’t get confused with her pretty face. Her lyricism is just as strong and raw as the city where she comes from.... There are a few tracks that resonate with me because of the flow and storytelling she is able to execute. “Woman’s Intuition”, “Song Cry”, where she takes Jay-Z’s song and twists it effortlessly into a song of her own. “I’m Ill”, which also has a video out you can view in the “Video” section of this blog. “Cozy”, which has a hard beat and where Dutch, again, proves she isn’t weak on the mic. And one of the slickest interlude joints “Pon De Floor”! I was mad at the teaser but I just hit rewind. Dutch Rebelle, the female emcee out of Boston, is clearly a woman who isn’t sitting in a corner and waiting for things to happen for her. She is speaking her mind and roasting the mic. The people who aren’t paying attention, are clearly hard of hearing. Turn your speakers UP. And look out for Dutch when she screams “Ya Ya Yaow!!!!”
