“Alameda’s Don’t be the Hero celebrated the release of their first CD, named after itself, at the Redhouse venue in Walnut Creek. Playing with four other bands, Don’t be the Hero set themselves apart by following their mantra of making the show all about the audience. They strove to make their performance as fun and engaging as possible, while encouraging participation from the audience—even allowing some of them to sing into the microphone during a Blink 182 cover.”
