Bio

“Got Cash?, sounds like a cocky comment doesn’t it? Since the twenty-two year old D-town (Detroit) native, Donnie Cash placed the song “My Swag” on his Myspace page, his smooth flow and catchy hook has been downloaded, added to pages, and heard coming off the lips of fans. Often compared to Jay-Z with a little country accent, Donnie Cash is ready to show the world that Eminem isn’t all Detroit has to offer. However, when you think of Detroit rap, you think of Eminem, D-12, maybe Obie Trice or Royce 5.9 perhaps Slum Village if you’re lucky. “There is no real, young movement in Detroit Rap/Hip Hop” says Donnie Cash and he hopes to change that

About

Biography of Donnie Cash “Got Cash?, sounds like a cocky comment doesn’t it? Since the twenty-two year old D-town (Detroit) native, Donnie Cash placed the song “My Swag” on his Myspace page, his smooth flow and catchy hook has been downloaded, added to pages, and heard coming off the lips of fans. Often compared to Jay-Z with a little country accent, Donnie Cash is ready to show the world that Eminem isn’t all Detroit has to offer. However, when you think of Detroit rap, you think of Eminem, D-12, maybe Obie Trice or Royce 5.9 perhaps Slum Village if you’re lucky. “There is no real, young movement in Detroit Rap/Hip Hop” says Donnie Cash and he hopes to change that with his Fresh Money Ent. Imprint. If you haven’t heard of Donnie Cash, prepare for a breath of fresh air. In Detroit, Cash performed at venues with such hometown stars as Proof of D-12 (R.I.P.), King Gordy and Maliek a.k.a. Eddie Cain of the Chedda Boyz. Bigger breaks began to come once Cash left his home of Detroit of twenty years for a town in Ohio called Sandusky. Cash linked up with fellow Detroit artist, Rokcil and dubbed themselves the Fly Boyz. They released a string of mixtapes: Pay Attention, Mo Money Mo Problems, and a solo mixtape from Cash titled Talk of tha Town that flew thru Sandusky like a hurricane. A growing fanbase in Sandusky led to an opening act for Strange Music recording artist, Tech N9ne. Sadly, Cash felt his time had ended in Sandusky and moved to Phoenix, AZ, which brings us to the present. Donnie Cash is more focused then ever on putting his city on his back and making his way from the underground to the mainstream. Cash is currently networking with Willy Northpole and Cinque and recording with Al-ly of the Man Up Click. He is also preparing his second solo mixtape release, Fly since “85,” hosted by MTV 2 Made Coach and Rawkus Records recording artist, Atllas. “Fly since “85” is me in so many words, it’s the streets I grew up in and the time zone I was born in, the things we want and need and what we will do to get them”. More poised for the street than the bedroom it still has a few tracks for the ladies. But things were to come to a stop for the fast rising artist. complications in schedules pervented Atllas and Donnie Cash from linking up for the mixtape and with a baby on the way in Detroit Donnie decided to return home where he first had the dream of music stardom. Now he is curently working on his second offical mixtape "D.C. Universe" and with features from Detroits own Marv Won and Quest M.C.O.D.Y. Donnie is working towards a summer release of this mixtape and feels like it will start the buzz in Detroit for everyone else to realize what he already knows. Things are looking in the right direction for Donnie Cash. He proclaims, “ Maybe I’m not what the game is missing but I’m what the game needs…”
