Born and raised on the west side of Chicago, Kidd Flash knew at an early age that he wanted to be involved with music. Around the age of five, interest was sparked on shopping trips with his mother. Seeing how she danced and sang along with the music played over store intercom systems made him want to grow up to be the person (whoever that was) that played music for shoppers like his mother.
