Danushka Othnapitiya is the new definition of Melbourne’s true underground dance music scene. The 24 year old Sri Lankan DJ/Producer has been smashing cutting edge productions, remixes and bootlegs all over the town ever since he stepped it to the club circuit. Although having experimented with a diverse list of genres, Danushka has always dominated dance floors using his unique blend of dark minimal and progressive sounding techno that leaves punters sweating for hours no matter what they are on. Sporting a live set up that would make any geek jealous, his technical ability in manipulating the insane collection of controllers and processors can only be second to likes of Hawtin or Digweed. As much as his freely released material has been circulating around the scene, he has worked closely with some of the more familiar names of the industry both locally and internationally that might come out under an entirely different alias. This young wiz kid has shaken the lazy underground scene of Melbourne and put a twist in it.  He has already conquered nightspots such as Korova Bar, Bimbo Deluxe, F4 and Brown Alley, but will be showing up at more places in time to come without a doubt.
