Bio

Dhindindi have come a long way since playing their first show fittingly on May Day in 2006, back when the band was still called Water Ship Down.

Gigging around London at well known venues like The Purple Turtle, The Union Chapel and Rock Garden in Covent garden the band have been steadily shaping and perfecting their 'Afro-punk' sound and are currently preparing to go into the recording studio for the first time.

About

Dhindindi are an anarchic afro-punk crossover band. Singer
Tom and his sister Amy hail from Zimbabwe and having arrived
in 'Sunny' England and tried to start a band they realised
that something was missing. Luckily they found Matt - mad
Welsh guitarist and convinced him to play bass (even though
he understands musical stuff like chords and keys the best).
Rock and/or f**kin roll ensued!

The band play all over London although generally we'll be
found closer to the East End because that's where we live
and we can't be arsed to travel miles home after a gig
unless it's for people we like or something we believe in!

We would particularly like to hear from: pirates, bunnies,
managers, vikings, tokoloshes, tokoloshe hunters,            prospective fans, fans, cricket players, Mr Bo-bo, jerboas,
n'angas, punks, aye-ayes, other afro-punk bands?, gullible
rich people, geeks, robots, and especially monkeys, ape-men,
sexy monkey-girls and simian derivatives of all kinds        (including those proposing a world monkey  government before
it's too late!)
