Dewangga Sakti literally means Magical Tapestry. Founded in 2000, this ensemble attempts to bring age old ethnic Malay music to the contemporary audiences of today.
They have released their debut CD; an EP (mini album) entitled Mabok Kepayang (Lovesick) in June 2008. It contains five original songs, all composed, arranged and produced by the band members themselves. Currently, they are recording materials for their full album to be released in 2009.
Apart from performing at formal and non-formal functions, the band also involved with Tourism Malaysia promotion abroad – Taiwan(2006) Japan ( 2006 & 2008) and China (in 2007).
