from mid-michigan began in the year 2000. I (Bryan) decided after running shows and being involved in Mid-Michigan's underground scene about 12 years (and since the world didn't end with Y2K) it seemed like the right time to start a band. Wanting put together the type of band with an attitude promoters like to work with and trying to relive what I liked about 'punk' bands when I first came to the scene.
's music is heavily influenced from 80's hardcore punk. The songs are short fast, full on sing-a-long gang vocals parts while tapping into a variety of punk and other influences, great for cirle pits and releasing some pent up energy at the shows. Lyrically Desiring Dead Flesh sings about the Scene (God Save the Scene, Unity Beyond, Call Us Dicks), My Family (Welcome to the other side, A Day With Dad, Homeless), Faith (Hijacked, Kmart's Parking Lot, Unappreciated, Wedgie) and social/political topics (Race Traitor, Rise Above, God Bless Afghanistan, Ignorance, Postpartum Abortion) with some humor thrown in (Cannibal, Cold Frame).
