Bio
Descended from Elves was started by W.K.(Koala) and Johnny O.D. in 2010. Two old friends who happened to cross paths again.
Both have been playing in local Los Angeles bands since their teens, but decided to stray from their punk roots and experiment with lo-fi and antifolk recordings.
Both members have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and owe much of their creativity to their illness.
Their influences include the Mountain Goats early recordings, Smog, Heathers, Andrew Jackson Jihad, D...

We have decided to start an independent alliance/collective for all the unheard indie bands out there. We will have a myspace page where we will release our music as well as yours. Please recommend us one of your tracks to post and we'll do it. We also book shows and will be using it as our record label.
